My client, a top 10 practice based in Birmingham, is looking to recruit a Director to join their Corporate International Tax team. The International Tax Team works across every industry sector with a diverse and interesting range of clients - from entrepreneurial start-ups to large, global FTSE 100 companies. This role works closely with the Partner (effectively his number 2) to run the team and be responsible for the delivery of the work as well as managing the client relationship (no business development is required as this role is focus on delivery). Your responsibilities will include:
- Experience of providing corporate tax advisory and compliance services to a variety of clients.
- Managing the successful delivery of commercially viable and technically excellent advice to a variety of clients involving tax due diligence, structuring, international and other advisory work and including liaising with specialists in other tax teams and overseas offices to manage their input.
- Ability to undertake tax audits for clients under UK GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP.
- Ability to prepare proposals for new work, including researching target client companies and on technical issues to identify new solutions.
- Experience of managing staff.
The successful candidate will have extensive international tax advisory and compliance experience either in practice or industry and being comfortable in managing the team and client relationship in a role purely focused on delivery.
